Driving Against Cancer for The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust

Throughout the month of October, the team here at Expedite Law, along with our sister team Fusion IT Management, is undertaking the task of walking, running, swimming or cycling 1000 miles as part of a charity drive for The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.

This distance doubles the amount our sponsored racing driver Simon Clark will have travelled over his entire 2022 season.

Alongside this, we’ll be undertaking various fundraising activities to aid the purchase of tablets and laptops for 13-24-year-olds fighting cancer.

We’ll be purchasing as many as our total amount will allow and distributing these to young patients undergoing treatment, with the aim of helping them feel less isolated and more occupied during such a difficult period.

The challenge will start on 1st October and finish on 29th October, the day of Simon’s last race of the season.

Since we’ve announced this fundraising effort, our JustGiving page has already surpassed £1,000, and we’re so excited to see what our final tally will be!

The Competition

To help us drive donations, we’ve launched giveaway opportunity for everyone donating £10 or more.

A donation of this amount automatically enters you into our prize draw to win one of four passenger experiences in Simon’s Fusion-powered Porsche 911 race car, experiencing the Brands Hatch circuit at full race pace with the double Porsche Club Champion at the wheel.

This is an exclusive experience not possible to purchase and includes a full briefing from Simon himself and the race team, before taking several laps of the circuit at top speeds!

This donation amount also puts you in with a chance of winning an artist print of Simon’s car, painted by Yorkshire artist Maria Clancy and based on a photograph by Jakob Ebrey.

There are four race car experiences and four prints up for grabs, and all it takes is a donation of £10 or more, under your full name, to enter.

Winners of the passenger experience will be announced throughout October, and winners of the framed prints will be announced November.

The Fusion Group is also set to match the fundraising total to double our efforts, so we’re anticipating being able to generate a real difference-making total by the end of our fundraising period.

You can keep an eye on Fusion’s social media channels to keep up to date with how we’re doing and cheer us on as we go. We hope to see you participating in the drive for such a great cause!
